What do you expect when you go see a live band? A great stage show, a variety of great
songs, a loud sound system, blinding lights – to sum it all up, Toaster.
This five member band can pull off material with complex vocal harmonies (think Journey or Queen), and
technically challenging songs by Rush and Styx, all while running around the stage and
nearly injuring one another. The goal is to entertain with great music, lively stage
antics, and the occasional witty joke. You will often hear a song that you love, but
haven’t heard in years.
Established in 1993, Toaster has gone through many personnel changes, finally settling into the current line-up. The band has fought it’s way to the top of the Iowa’s music scene and has been privileged to perform in the company of many famous touring acts: The Fixx, .38 Special, Loverboy, The Little River Band, Ratt, Jefferson Starship, Great White, and Quiet Riot are a few names you may recognize.
Other material that Toaster performs covers a wide range of artists from Led Zeppelin, Sweet, Van Halen, and Cheap Trick, to Poison, Ted Nugent, Rick Springfield, and ACDC. The philosophy is to play classic songs that everyone knows and that are danceable. Toaster also strives for the best possible sound quality and for the songs to sound as close to the original as possible.
Toaster is Hal Thompson, Kyle Kinkade, Mark Manning, Steve Radke, and John Withers. see us on the web.
